Mother and son at Dynamit restaurant, Málaga

Dynamit is a stylish, Swedish-owned restaurant in the heart of Málaga, and one of our favourite dinners in the city. It’s small, warm and buzzy, with a seasonal menu that mixes local and Scandinavian flavours.

The Atmosphere

The interior is contemporary but warm, with soft lighting that works for a casual dinner or a special night out. It’s a fairly small room, which makes it feel cosy.

The Food

The menu is a mix of local and international dishes built around fresh, seasonal produce. The owner is Swedish, and I loved the Scandinavian touches. Start with an akvavit cocktail. Trust me. We followed it with scallops and a delicious salad.

Drinks and Service

The wine list has lots of local options, and the staff were brilliant at recommending pairings. We had a local red that went beautifully with our meal. The service was friendly and attentive without hovering, and the team were clearly passionate about their food.

Lena’s Tips

  • Order the akvavit cocktail. You can’t go past it.
  • Ask for a wine recommendation. The local list is great.
  • Book ahead. It’s a small room.

The Verdict

Dynamit is a must if you’re in Málaga, with a lively atmosphere, great service and delicious food.
